My quirks are as follows (I might have to ask Todd. I'm sure he'll be able to fill in any blanks I might have):
- Other people doing my laundry. I know I should be very appreciative of anyone helping me out, but I really don't like it when someone else does my laundry. Folding Todd's undershirts is the biggest struggle. This is something I really struggled with when I had the babies and people were doing our laundry for me. He has two types of undershirts, some with sleeves and other without so they don't show out from his sleeves. I fold them each a certain way so Todd will know which is which. This little trick came about when I noticed the abundance of undershirts in the laundry. I figured out Todd would unfold them and if they weren't what he was looking for, he would put them in the dirty clothes. Needless to say, thank you to out moms for helping me out, but it is stressful when I have help with the laundry.
- I could say I don't eat cooked fruit. I lived a strict diet of no cooked food, but Chris's mom went and broke my lifelong quest of no cooked fruit with an amazing blackberry cobbler. I not totally on the cooked fruit wagon, but I am a little more open. Maybe.
- I do not like food in large quanties. I love to watch the Food Network, but when they show mass amounts of food it turns my stomach. Something like a huge pile of ribs on a table will do my in everytime.
- I do not like birds. I always hated birds. I have a strong fear of them, but when we were in Hawaii and they were everywhere, I had a talk with myself. I told myself, I do not want to push this fear onto my unborn children, so I needed to focus and grow up. It is a daily battle to not freak out over near run in's with birds, but it's for my children. I will be strong.
- I have an overly organized closet. As a young girl, my mom taught me the importantance of the plastic shoe box. I always kept my shoes in plastic shoe boxes with a description written on the end. While watching an episode of cribs I saw a closet with polaroids of the shoes on the boxes. So one weekend while Todd was at work, I photographed each pair and went to work on my dream closet. It does make me look crazy, but I wear a lot more of my shoes because I can see what I have.
- I love stocking our garage fridge. This is probably the craziest on the list. I love when I go to Sam's and stock up on drinks. Then I go home and neatly line up the drinks. This is one of Todd's quirks too, because if he is with me, he'll load the fridge for me. I really thought this was just a thankless dumb thing we did just for us, until...Chris was in town a few weeks ago and commented on how he loved that we have stocked fridge with a great variety of drinks. Thanks for noticing Chris.
Don't judge me. I know these are all weird, but they're me. It's who I am and I can't help it.
