More Spaghetti Please

I made chicken Parmesan tonight for dinner.

I was curious what Henley would think of spaghetti...

She loved it!!!!

I really regret never giving the boys spaghetti when they were little. I was too nervous what I would do with TWO dirty babies. I'm trying anything and everything on Henley. I hoping for ONE good eater! Life is good for the third child!

Is it too early?

Is it too early for Halloween pajamas? I don't care if it is...They look too cute!

The boys are so excited about Halloween this year. It will be so exciting to celebrate Halloween at our house this year.

This is before bed last night. Todd and I were finishing dinner and I heard little giggles coming from Todd's chair. My two little monkies were cuddled up watching Loony Tunes and giggling. Love these sweet little boys!

Keepin' Busy

Who's ready for a fun Saturday?

Henley is! She's hoping her Aggies win tonight too.
I took the kids down the street to Alpaca Day. Yes, there is a field not far from my house that has Alpacas. It used to be a house and when it burned down Alpacas appeared. Yes, it is strange. But it was something new to go see.

While they were very cute and soft, they were not nice! This cutie kicked like a mad man if you touched him anywhere from his face to his tail. Not super safe for three year olds. We didn't stay long. We will now just admire them from the road when we drive by everyday.

Up next, BOWLING! This was the first time we have taken the boys bowling. We had five families and tons of kids. Dad handed off the ball to Owen...

He lined it up and let it rip. I loved his excitement! All it took was one pin to fall and he was thrilled.

Brody thought this was great too! He also discovered the "Claw" machine. It's that machine with the joystick you use to control the claw and when it releases you try to capture and stuffed animal. Todd gave Brody $1.00 which equals 2 attempts. First try, nothing. Second try, SUCCESS! What? No one ever gets a toy! B-Boy got one on his second try! (You can only image how upset Owen was when he didn't get one after many trys. Life lesson learned...you don't always get something just because your brother does)

We enjoyed LOTS of popcorn

Georgia tried to console Owen about his inability to capture a stuffed animal.

While Sister didn't get to go bowling, she got to go shopping! Look at sassy-pants with her purse and cart. Guess she sees momma doing this lots!

She even got to drive a car! It was a busy day for everyone.

Guess Who's Walking...

The time has arrived...
I've been itching for Henley to start walking. I wasn't near as eager with the boys because I was terrified they would take off in different directions. BUT I'm ready for Henley to get to steppin'! She has lots of cute dresses (she can't crawl without getting caught up in them) and cute shoes (she scuffs up the toes when she crawls). Enough about Mommy, Henley is walking!!!!!

Sitting pretty. Waiting on mom to get dressed.

This should have clued me in that walking was near. I was drying my hair in the bathroom by the family room so I could keep an eye on my little monkeys. Clearly I wasn't paying very close attention. She was on top of the potty in no time! OH NO!

Soon after this, I was in the living room and Todd called out that she was walking. She had used the door frame to pull herself up and without thinking about it she started walking toward him (4 or 5 steps). While Todd and I were at dinner, Pa Doss sent me a video of her taking a few more steps. Let the fun begin!

Septemberfest 2011

We headed out to Septemberfest this weekend. It's a great festival every year benefitting The Museum of the Southwest. Friday night was kid-free fun at the Preview Party, and today, Todd and I tool the kiddos out there.

Henley and her Daddy enjoyed football on the patio beforehand.

There was a petting zoo (with a mean camel)

Super fun Cars bouncer

Owen went down to head over heels the first, literally summersaulting the whole way down.

Brody chose the standard method of sliding.

We rode the train

Jousted...

Or wrestled?

Hot and tired...done

Henley's First Day of CDO

Today was Henley's first day of Children's Day Out.

Of course, she had to be woken up. Poor thing, she likes to sleep in and due to her brother's schedule she rarely gets to, and now...she has places to be herself!
I have been experimenting with finger foods frantically these last two weeks. Mainly because she has started to refuse baby food, but also I knew she had to be able to feed herself at CDO. I have been giving her everything Todd and I have been eating (SO should have done this with her older brothers!) and she loves it. I haven't found anything she really doesn't like. The one thing she loves that I have a hard time with is meat sticks. I'm big on texture and that is NOT a good texture!

Big Girl! We have also totally done away with the bottle! Of course, she didn't care as long as she got her milk in some kind of container. She does very well with a straw so I stick to straw sippy cups mostly.

I was really hoping she would be walking by the time she went to CDO, but mostly for selfish reasons. 1. So she is clean and dog hair free 2. So she can wear ALL these cute dresses

Such a pose!

She did great at drop off. Just went in like she had been there a million times. Luckily I had to hurry and get the boys to their school so there was no time for Mommy to be sad her little girl is growing up so fast!

Labor Day 2011

Is it really possible summer is over??? Where did it go? We were so lucky to have a busy, fun summer full of swimming, friends, trips, and happy healthy babies! We finished off summer with Labor Day at home.

Henley has turned into a fish and she loves her freedom
I know...Mother of the Year. This might not look safe, and it's probably not, but it was FUN!!

Owen liked to stand on the tower and speak to his people, but did not attempt the slide.

ALL over the pool.

Get together for a family picture! Thank you!

What is he doing? Doesn't he know he has to make kissing noises in order to score a smooch from these lips?

Fish Boy! Brody had truly LOVED his summer in the pool. He loves that Owen doesn't like to be out in the middle of the pool. He can take anything he wants from Owen and he knows Owen won't come get it. Smart kid.

Hey Mom, I need food, potty, juice box,.......

She is just too cute!

Dad with his water babies

Farewell Summer. Sad to see it end!

Let's Go Aggies!

We are ready for football season at our house!
