The torture continues...

...with haircuts!!!!!!!

2 long-haired-crazy-meesy-headed boys

Owen before

Owen during...this guy loves a haircut

After! Looks great!

Brody before...pretending he is not is a salon...

Brody after...the red puffing eyes are evidence of how well today went...

Clearly the gym + an outside playdate (we reached 104 today, ugh!) + gymnastics + haircuts...we are all beyond pooped!

While the boys were at church, Henley joined Daddy and me at Luigi's. Her first trip! She hammed it up all night! Give this girl so one-on-one and she goes nuts!

Post church...

Crazies!!!!

So silly!!!!

Allergy Testing

Sweet Brody has been suffering lately...he'll break your heart. He's had the RAW upper lip due to excessive snot, flakey skin covering his face, clawing his arms and legs till they bleed...ugh! Poor sweet boy!

We headed to Dr. Wolbert and got tested today. This was the instant he walked back into my room. It was very hard on Momma hearing him cry out "I'm done, Momma!".

No, he's not meditating, he's playing Angry Birds. This little iPad saved my hide today. He did not complain any once he was playing his game. I was very proud of him.

It's cooking....

This was about five minutes before we ended the torture. Verdict...trees, grasses, and some weeds. Nothing huge, but we have a new game plan with new meds. Hopefully my sweet boy will be 100% soon!

Weekend Recap

After going and going and going lately, we took it easy this weekend. It was nice to hang out with our sweet kiddos.

Great day at the park

Followed by our first trip to Orange Leaf. It's our new frozen yogurt place where you build your own and pay by weight. True to personality, Owen went with vanilla and Brody went with chocolate. It got interesting at the toppings section...Owen went for M&M's and gummy bears. Brody went with Fruit Loops and gummy bears. Henley and I got Wedding Cake with NO toppings (I don't like how cold and hard the candy gets). Well, the boys did not like the hard frozen candy either. Don't worry...we picked it all out and let it thaw on a napkin. I can't get mad at them, they are just like me, I just know better!

Next up, our new game & obsession!

There was some serious game playing. Even sister hopped in the action.

Look at the determination!

Oh yes! You're beautiful!

She kept staring at herself in my make-up mirror. Such a girl!

Sitting Pretty

I was putting away clothes and such in miss Henley's the other day and noticed she was quiet...I turned around...

Sweet little girl was perch in her doll's chair.

Oh! She is so proud of her silly self!

Uh-oh! She might be stuck! My parents gave her this chair for Christmas and she just can't accept that she is too big for her chair!

Henley's 18 Month Well Check

...a little late...2 1/2 months late to be exact...poor 3rd child

This picture was taken after she had to strip down for the exam. I put her shirt on while we waited for shots and she insisted on the shoes. Such a girl! All was good. She is right on track and such a happy, talkative baby girl that is growing up TOO fast.

Head 19.5 (95%)

Height 34.2 inches (90%)

Weight 25.2 (50%)

She is a great eater, often preferring Mommy and Daddy's dinner to her brothers typical toddler grub. She takes one nap a day (usually in the car while running brothers from one activity to another) and sleep a full 12+ hours a night. She loves her crib and sleep best in her dark room with the sound of ocean waves crashing. She can do anything her brothers can, or so she thinks! Her vocabulary amazes me everyday. There's a big advantage to having older siblings. Henley can climb the stairs going up very well, coming down...I get a little nervous. (I do look forward to the day we have no more baby gates. Yes, I might regret those words on day.) She loves Mothers Day Out and has a cute little friend she enjoys playing with. The park visits are getting interesting. No more sitting on the blanket and tottering around. She is up and down on all the equipment just like O&B. We are not potty training yet. I'm not ready! She fights me when I make her sit because her brothers don't have to, so we will wait...

Henley is VERY opinionated. And she will tell you all about it. Her drama is different than the boys. Whoa! I do not care for the squealing and falling out on the floor. I know they say kids learn their actions from watching others and I really don't think I have ever thrown myself to the floor because I didn't get what I wanted. She is ALL girl! If there is a pair of shoes available, she will change into them. She loves her shoes, momma's shoes, her brothers shoes. I told the kids to get their shoes on because we were leaving and I hear Brody yelling, well in walks Henley with Brody's Batman crocs on. Guess I need to be more specific. She is very sweet and always says "please" and "thank you". She has a few key phrases "EWE Gross!" "Tuff Stuff". "Bow-dee" is how she calls for Brody and of course Brody ignores her. For some reason she won't say Owen even though he is her partner in crime.

She is wearing:

size 4 diapers

18-24 month clothes

size 6 shoes

and LOTS of big bows!

Easter 2012

Easter is here!

The Easter Bunny found us in Austin and brought us some goodies!

Guess who woke up first and was asking if the bunny came???? He did not wait for anyone!
Brody cruised out a few minutes later...

This picture is so funny. Owen opened all his stuff and once he convienced Brody to come check out his bag he was ALL in Brody's business. Look at him with his head shoved in Brody's bag!

A new game!

Henley came down rockin' a fancy hairdo

She loved her clothes! Girls are so fun!

Who wants to hunt eggs?????

Let's go!

Searching

she finally got her picture with the Easter bunny

So fun to spend Easter with the Easters!!!!

Gotta love a petting zoo

I guess Brody scoped out the animals before lunch because as we were finishing up lunch I asked if he was ready to go hold a bunny. "NO. I want to hold the Easter lizard." Hmmm. Well, there was an Easter lizzard, guinnie pig, chickens, hedge hog...something for everyone.

We had a wonderful Easter weekend and are so thankful for the many blessings we have.

Easter Eve

We headed down to Austin to celebrate Easter with Pa Doss

1st attempt

2nd try

#3...

SUCCESS!

Creepy Easter Bunny

The boys thought the Easter bunny was fab!

We dyed some eggs

Henley was NOT a fan of the Easter bunny. She saw it and proceed to scream her head off (notice her red eyes). She never took her eyes off that bunny. This is the glare she gave bunny ALL morning. I was concerned her head would swivel off because she kept whipping it around to follow the Easter bunny.
Good Lookin' Family!

We are so proud!

Get excited, we are about to hunt eggs!

They look confused. They were in the age group 5 and under. Those 5 year olds were fast!
I think Henley preferred Daddy to carry her and put eggs in her bucket so she could focus on eating the candy.
