Two Years Old

Owen and Brody are two years old! Happy Birthday!
The two cutest two year old boys I know!

Papa D and Owen

Brody and Nana

Grammie brought us over the most fun puppet birthday cards

Owen is still the official gift-opener. Brody still has no interest in opening the gifts. He waits in the wings for Owen to do the work, then swoops in and grabs the goods.

Holy Moly! Look what Mom and Dad got us! I love this picture because it displays some of our current weird ticks. Brody has to have a toy or object in one of his hands at all times (bath, bed, food, gymnastics, MDO, everywhere). He is so adamant that he will not let go, that he had to cross his hands to drive. Owen on the other hand, is so stubborn that he continued to drive into everything and let the motor run. Todd had to physically remove his hand from the button and turn the wheel. So fun!

Pa Doss led me in the right direction.

Got my hands going in the right direction. Notice he moved whatever he's holding to the other hand. It's still there.

Daddy signing Happy Birthday to Brody on his birthday.
We sang to Brody first this year since Owen got to go first last year. I also want to make note that Brody did not cry when we sang to him. Brody cries EVERY time he hears that song.

What cha wishin for Owen?

SO YUMMY!
These are definitely my children, icing only!

Owen was making his plan of attack. This was their second cupcake of the day. They took them to school to share with their buddies.

We had a couple of friends over for dinner to help us celebrate

Mommies little artists.
I am embarrassed to admit we just started using crayons. I am a bad mom but I was very nervous for my walls.

Little munchkin nibbling his goodies

Ooooooooo...cake time is coming!

Brody is getting very concerned

We did cry, but tried to get it back together to blow out the candle

Owen, on the other hand, loved the attention and the singing

I love Todd's and my face. We were willing Owen to blow out his candle. It took a few tries, but success!

We didn't even put down the cake for a photo with our gal, Lilly

Oh man, this is so good. Notice the blue icing-eyeshadow

Nana, watch the cake!

Our sweet little family

Aunt Kathy brought the goods! Look at grabby little O-man. That's the boys cousin you see in the front. We have some curly headed babies!

So excited our cousins made the trip for our birthday!

we LOVE our Sesame Street Lego's. This is funny pic because it shows Owens other new tick. He is really into kissing. He makes everything kiss. Elmo and Cookie Monster have laid down some smooches

This is the boys birthday present from Grammie! They are new pieces of furniture in our family room. It's like a drive in theatre in there! They just chill in them ALL the time. My sweet nephew just might be receiving one of these for his second birthday...hmmmm?

Uncle Jody was put to work trying to get our goodies loose!

Have you ever seen two happier grandparents?

Snow Day 2010

Well, we had snow today. Can you sense my enthusiasm? I don't mean to be a grump, but we kinda chilled yesterday because it was so dreary and the boys were kinda sleepy all day, plus I really didn't believe the weather man. When are they ever right? Well, today they were. I woke up to Todd's alarm and he was gone, so I figured he was running. I rushed downstairs to get the guys milk so we could get dressed for MDO! Woo Hoo!
Nope, five inches of snow on the ground. Wait, where's dad? I really don't think he's running in this mess that is still coming down. When I went back up stairs I found dad on the bathroom floor with his pillow...stomach bug! Poor Guy!
The boys and I made the most of our day and just tried to avoid Dad! We didn't even go out in the snow until after our nap and by this time the sun had cleared up some of the snow. The last snow fall I just knew the boys would love all the white stuff, not so much. So we didn't even stir up too much drama and push the picture op.
What ever you do, don't step in the snow, Brody!

Be careful Owen! Don't step in the white stuff!

Uh-oh! What do I do now?

That looks like what I'm talkin about!

Puddles!!!

Never even touched the snow, but we did some major puddle dancin'

Brody decided he was going to power through that snow. He ran so fast like it couldn't hurt him if he was fast!

Not Owen. He stuck to the tiny no-snow path

We read books

We even played beauty shop! Brody might need a haircut?

Steers and Stars

Last night Todd and I got to get all dressed up and went out to support a great cause. We went to the Steers and Stars Ball supporting the Midland's Children's Rehabilitation Center at the Petroleum Club.
Todd looked so handsome in his tux!

Todd referred to this as a "prom pic". Hope his prom date was not in my condition. (tee-hee)

Laura, Jennifer, and I looking for our table.

Lovely ladies. Jenn, Laura, Me and Darby. The food was so good, and lucky for everyone else we were right by the bar!

Our handsome dates. Todd, Chad, Jeremy and Stuart

Running buds (this week they added shopping buds to their list of names for themselves)

Laura, me and Christin

Bill Engvall (Master of Ceremonies), Me and Stuart.
Stu really wanted his pic with Bill and Jennifer wasn't really keen on asking so I took a bullet for my buddy, and ask Bill for a photo with me and my "husband". He was a great auctioneer and raised over $250,000 for the Rehab center. Very successful evening!

Sam and Suzanne's Wedding

A few weeks ago we (barely) made it to Tulsa for Sam and Suzanne's wedding. The weather was terrible and the snow and ice made it extra difficult to get there. The Tulsa airport was open for about three hours on Friday afternoon, and luckily, out arrival fell within this time. I know Suzanne was probably a nervous wreck not only because she was the bride, but she was facing one of the worst winter storms Tulsa had seen in years on her wedding day. She didn't let her stress show, she and her wedding were beautiful. I could not find my camera so thank for the pics Myndi! I appreciate. I'm ready for someone else to get married! So much fun to hand out with all our old buddies!

The rehearsal dinner was at this Beautiful old hotel, the Mayo, in downtown Tulsa that had been completely restored. We slid over there using the curbs to keep the car from losing total control.
Kurt, Todd, Chris, Sam (the lucky groom), and Jason

Todd waiting for me to find something warm to wear to the wedding. Such a good hubby!

wow! Look at that belly! Wonder what's in there? By the way, I'm way poking it out. I am not having twins again! I promise!

This trip made me so thankful for our mild winters. Open toe stilettos and fifteen inches of snow do not mix well.
