Easter Brunch

We headed up the street to brunch to see the Easter Bunny one more time. Oh yeah, and to over indulge in lots of yummy food!

Sweet girl was all grins
Owen was hamming it up with Henley. I loved watching them but in the back of my mind I was worried about wrinkled outfits and drool. It's tough to be a mom!

Brody looked so handsome

Upon arrival...Brody melted down when asked to speak to all our friends and Owen ran from the bunny...here we go!

I think Brody's meltdown was the result of a VERY hungry boy. He ate the entire time we were there. Guess I should set up a buffet a home to get him in the mood!

When we were leaving, the boys saw the EB's basket of candy and they decided he was okay to get close to.

I have, hands down, the cutest family in the world!!!

Here's the whole gang

This is what we all did when we got home.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny Came!!!!

Last night we went over to Grammie's house for dinner with Uncle Steve and Janice. In order to get the boys to leave, we told them they had to go to bed or the Easter Bunny wouldn't come. It worked! After I said it, I was concerned the thought of that bunny coming into our house might scare them.

This is what the EB left for Owen. There were some sweet treats and Super Man PJ's in the basket
Henley's sweet Bunny and a Lovie Bunny plus new duckies for the tub

Brody's treats! Same as Owen but he had Batman PJ's

The Easter Bunny left eggs all over the living room. Some had money in them. The coins were a big hit because their buddy Brock gave them Easter piggy banks. Now they had something to put in them!

Brody first reaction...

We kept them upstairs forever. Miss Henley did not want to get up and Mommy was enjoying it!

Owen slipped in and grinned from ear to ear

Henley had so much fun! She loved watching everyone's excitement

Check out scootin' Buzz

I think Brody was very please with the EB's choices!

Easter Fun

We strapped on our bunny ears and headed to the Green Tree Easter Party

Henley was SO excited to wear her ears!
Owen decided his homemade ears were perfect. (I went to pick the boys up from school on Thursday and both of the boys were sitting listening to a book and wearing their ears. I was shocked. Ms. Kathy said they had refused to take them off all day. They NEVER wear stuff like this for me!)

Brody thought Daddy should wear his

Family photo with the bunny

Please do not poke the bunny with your dinosaurs!

(how many times have you heard that?)

The Easter season brought lots of love to my group

Heading home with our loot!

Hunting Eggs at School

The Boys had their Children's Day Out Easter egg hunt today! It was so fun to watch them hunt eggs this years. As compared to last year, we have grown by leaps and bounds. I was preggo last year with little Miss and trying to drag the both of them around while attempting a few pics. This year, it was game on! They had to be held back while the mommies took pics!

Additional Austin

We decided to stay in Austin an extra day so we could squeeze in a little more fun! Sunday we had a great lunch (yummy goat cheese pizza) with the kids and then went to see the new movie, Rio.

Afterwards we walked down to the fountain at the Gallaria. Daddy and Henley headed off to get ice cream for the crew.

Upon arrival at the fountain, Brody saw the other kids playing and he walked right in. No hesitation.

Owen required shoes and shirt to be removed. We paused for a meltdown because he wanted his swimsuit (Owen must always be properly attired. No Just-go-with-it attitude here). I took off his shorts and put on new pull-up and put his shorts back on. Totally satisfied! Hmmmm

Loving it!

They spotted the ice cream and forgot all about the water! I can't blame them. I LOVE Amy's Mexican Vanilla Bean!

Completely pooped! Yes, there was lots of discussion of his lack of pants. It'll be okay!

Pretty Daddy drove us home safely Monday.

Easter "Bugs" Bunny

Our friends, Anna & Brown, went to see the Easter bunny yesterday. When I showed Owen the text with their picture, he was beyond excited that his friends met Bugs Bunny. I explained in fact it was the Easter bunny and asked him if he would like to go. "Yes! Easter Bunny! Yes!" So I told him we would go tomorrow after school.
When we headed up for a bath..Easter Bunny? No, Owen. After his bath...Shoes on? Why Owen? Going to see Easter Bunny? Nope, tomorrow! Needless to say this went on. When I picked him up from school he was ready! I had to run errands to stall because the Bunny didn't open till 4. Each stop...Easter Bunny?
So we are in line to see the big guy, Owen is waving and dancing...when it's our turn, Henley goes in the bunny's arms, Brody lets me set him in place (Brody has had no interest in our Easter Bunny conversations), Owen...MELT DOWN!
He been talking a big game about his visit to everyone...I have the picture to prove how it really went.

Critter-Day Wednesday

So this morning we went to gymnastics and the Y. All the kiddos were totally exhausted by the time we got home. I put each one of my angels to bed and started on the laundry. I have a lovely method of throwing the dirty clothes over the balcony and them sorting them in our living room. While sorting, I heard a weird fluttering at the big picture window in the stair case. OMG! A bird is in the house! (Remember the bat not too long ago???) I open the front door for our guest and try to talk him out...no luck. Todd runs home for something and is going to be my hero, the bird disagrees and flies into the boys room. Not worth waking the boys. Todd trapped it between the shutters and the windows. Everyone just rest! For those of you who don't know me, I HATE BIRDS! Luckily, Grammie came over and trapped the bird in a shoebox and as she released it for the boys, she was a super hero in their eyes (mine too). Crisis averted!

Well...this woman (Grammie) is back! What does she have now?

What is in there? When the Critter Carrier comes out, not good (as far as I'm concerned)!

WHAT! Grammie caught this horny toad in her yard!

Baby Dinosaur, as Owen liked to call it was a fun surprise.

I was so proud of Owen for touching it. He loved the baby dinosaur. He cleverly named him Superman (check out his shirt).

Hmmmmm.......

This sums up Brody's feelings about the baby dino

Owen picked some flowers to feed SuperMan (that was Todd's Critter Catcher originally)

Princess Henley was fine with or without that horny toad!
