I'm Not Ready!

What? Excuse me? Huh?

I'm definitely not ready for Henley to start making her own decisions.

I knew one day we would butt heads on curfew, skirt length, hair styles, choices in boyfriends...

BUT I did not expect it to start so soon. Miss Henley Faye has decided she is done nursing! What? This was supposed to be MOM'S decision. Ever since I got back from the wedding she has turned her nose up at me. I have been so lucky to be able to nurse her this long because I really did cherish our special time. I had nine months in my mind as her cut-off. She sure showed me. She decided she wanted the last word, and she cut me off! I am in trouble with this little strong-willed girl. I just new when she woke up WAY TOO early this morning, that she would cave and latch on...NOPE! She cried it out until she gave up and went back to sleep.

Congratulations, YOU WIN Henley!!!!

I will give her this victory because maybe this means I win a really good battle sometime down the road. Just so she doesn't totally win, I am still pumping. Ha! I showed her!

Here's a shot of sweet Brody. He is talking so much more lately. I have come to realize he is going to do it his way on his clock, NO MATTER WHAT. I have really enjoyed seeing so much more of his amazing personality coming out as he learns to express himself better. He is currently in the lead as the house sweetheart (stay tuned, it can change quickly).

Owen has had some big weeks here lately. We have been struggling with potty training, but Owen has turned the corner. Last week he asked to wear undies to school. He made it all day with no accidents! I am so proud of all his hard work and patience. He loves to please and he loves the praise. We are getting there. ------- My babies are growing up and I love watching them discover new things everyday, but I is hard to believe it's going so fast!
