A Merry Christmas and Ten Months Old

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. It was so fun to have babies around this year. It was a very different and busy weekend. Not only was it Christmas day, the boys celebrated their ten month birthday on the 25th. They are so amazing! I'll recap our achievements later.

Todd's grandmother, Anette, found these precious pj's for the boys.

Cousin Sara and Zack came in from Virginia

Great Aunt Vicky, Sara, Pa Doss and Laura

Brody loves Aunt MoMo

Great Ma still has the touch!

Brody kept Great Pa very busy

Brody sporting his Cousin Eddie hat Christmas morning. "Merry Christmas. S**ter was full!"

This picture captures Christmas. Owen really got into opening the presents and brother Brody ate the paper. We had to be quick with the paper, especially tissue, it really dissolves fast!

We got new toothbrushes in our stockings!

Look what Santa brought us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elmo was a hit! (but only from a distance) When Elmo blows kisses the boys kiss back. SO freaking cute!!!!!!!!

Stockings with Pa Doss and Dad.

This is the only family picture I got the whole season. It never dawned on me until now when I uploaded all the pics. Not great, but this is us!

Christmas dinner at Grammies!

Great Ma got us a tee pee! We are so excited as long as daddy gets in with us!

Here's my mantel. It turned out pretty and I was excited.

Holly loved her stocking stuffers too!

Friday we headed to Dallas to see Nana and Papa D.

Three Christmas down and one to go. It's tough to be spoiled rotten!

Welcome Jackson Shane Earl

Our dear sweet friends, Laura and Jeremy welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Jackson Shane Earl, into the world yesterday morning. Laura and Jeremy are doing great, but little Jackson is having a tough time getting started. His lungs just weren't quite ready. Please remember the Earl family in you prayers this holiday season. The doctors decided it would be best to move him to Odessa tonight. Todd and I know good and well how hard this is on parents and we want their family home and healthy as soon as possible. We know Jackson is in the best hands and he will be out of there soon. Rember this special family and pray for them. It works wonders!

Have you missed us?

We are still alive...in case you've missed us! We have been so busy. Between normal life (laundry, cooking, bathing), Christmas, parties, and babies, we have been busy. I also have to mention what happened last week at HEB. I always have to make note of such events because this blog might very well be my boys' baby book. We were shopping. Todd had both boys in a buggie (thank goodness for double seats. plus they were all snuggley with two buggie covers crammed in there) and I was doing the shopping. A lovely lady and I were discussing our dislike for HEB's bean organizing with I heard glass shattering and Todd jumping. Owen had his sweet little hand out above the GLASS jars of green beans and was flicking his wrist and clearing the shelf. "Clean up on aisle 5!" Todd was amazed at Owen's technique, very sly. I have never put them in one buggie together. With them sharing a cart you have to allow at least 12 inch clearance on either side of the cart for curiosity purposes. Lesson learned. Who buys green beans in a jar? Pretty fancy!

Mr. Owen has had a tough week. He has been in this pose (with a variety of toys) all week. I think Owen just might get his two front teeth for Christmas. I cringe when he grins and shows those puffy little gums.

This is our new favorite toy. It makes everything better. Our friend Reagan from Stroller Strides has one, so I went to Target and got the last two. When you push the button the Christmas tree spins and the snow swirls with lights. I think Owen likes it because it vibrates just a little and massages his gums. Please see the next photo for an explantion of the hair.

The New Do! I have no idea what happened, but Brody now has a curl. I thought he slept with his head pressed up against his bumper after a bath and this was the result. Two baths later, it's still there. I think he was jealous of Owen's lovely locks! Yes, his face is dirty. Lily thinks he looks like a Who from Dr. Seuss.

I just love these pj's and this is the best pic I could get. Look at those cute bums!

Todd and I were eating dinner and usually one of the boys is not a happy camper for some reason. We were eating and visiting and all the sudden we noticed how quiet it was...they totally passed out at the same time! Wonderful!

Brody and Owen love all Christmas things, as long as they play music. My black labs bark the Christmas carols. The boys think they are so funny. Notice my fab new ottoman (it holds all their toys) and how well B Boy is standing. He is so proud!

How great are these shirts? "My brother is the Naughty One". I love Target!

Thank you Nana and Papa D for our Christmas card. It plays "Here Come Santa Claus" over and over and over!

Brody received an early Christmas present and it was a huge hit! The Browns brought it over last night and the boys destroyed the box trying to play with it so after Todd cooked me breakfast (that's right! eat your heart out ladies!) he opened it up for the boys. It was a nice babysitter today.

Christmas Came Early

Apparently Christmas came early at the Rogers house. Mr. Brody woke up early and Todd went and got him. He would not relax so we did a bottle. Just as he was settling down, Owen decided he didn't want to miss family time in Mom and Dad's big bed. So, along came baby boy A, he had a bottle, and we all went back to sleep...for two and a half hours! FABULOUS! Then around nine...Christmas arrived. Todd offered to change the boys and take them downstairs for breakfast so I could go back to sleep. WOW! Hold on...it gets better...an hour later he snuck up and brought me a hot cup of coffee. Helloooooo Santa!

It was a great day. We played, wrapped presents, read books, and enjoyed time with each other. This afternoon we actually got to see Santa. Hannah had her first birthday party and Santa came by on a fire truck. It is now official, Owen hates Santa. Brody once again rolled with it but Owen was not at all happy. When I took him off Santa's lap, there was a handful of beard in his hand. Sorry Santa! My camera was dead, of course, so we will see if Jennifer's pics turned out.

Three Men and a Lady

A few new pics

Todd had the afternoon off yesterday, so we took advantage and tried to get some stuff done. We have entered the final week of work on the house. The guys will finish the kitchen island and hang the new doors on Monday! So excited. I was really nervous about having to buy them Christmas presents because I thought they might be here Christmas day. The boys bathroom is amazing. They did a great job and all my changes and guesses worked together. The other morning I was in the boys rooming playing with them and the heater man came to look at the heater. I put the boys in their cribs and knew they would just have to cry it out while I showed the nice man where to go. I went back to their room and it was quiet, are you kidding me? Did they really go to sleep? NO! Owen was watching his crib aquarium and Brody...he was in the bathroom. One painter was holding him in his lap and they were watching the other guy paint. If I had only known, they babysat too! I just might keep them around. Hope everyone is not stressing too much this Christmas season!

Apparently, under the jumper is just as fun as in the jumper!

Owen at dinner

B-boy was such a flirt at dinner. There was this cute high school couple behind us and Brody was trying to steal this girl away from her man. Todd was so proud. The boyfriend kinda bowed up to our little lady killer.

Posing in front of the pretty tree. Don't you know restaurants hate to see us coming!

Party Time

It's the season of parties and we've been busy! Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!

The boys being oh-so cute!

Here they are with their lady-friend, June

Owen was not a fan of Santa Claus! Our fabulous friends did a breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning. Mimosas for mom and Santa for the boys...what beats that!

We had a Griswald Christmas Party on Friday night. Todd and I were the workout version of the neighbors, Todd and Margo. Our friend, Tenee and Chad were the fancy version of Todd and Margo. SOOOOO much fun.

Todd and I were trying to be seroius like the characters. It was a little toasty inside that sauna suit. It was nice to eat and drink all night knowing I was burning a TON of calories!

Our First Thanksgiving

We headed down to Todd's Dad's lakehouse for Thanksgiving. We left Tuesday, the boys' nine month birthday, to get an early start on the fun family festivities! My parents came down and my brother, his wife, and the boys joined us for Turkey day. It was so nice to have extra hands to help with our little guys. Today was tough for me and the boys though. They could not understand why they were not being held and I just wanted them to quit gripping at me! Brody is a mad crawler and Owen is a determined scooter. We are wild at the Rogers' House. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

After a long road trip, Owen decided to let loose and relax.

Papa D struggled to keep Owen in the tub. I didn't realize how useful those bathtub chairs are!

Pa Doss and Papa D were quite a team. You should see the video, the commentary is wonderful!

Dad with our youngest little turkey on the big day!

Our dinner actually weighed four pounds more than Brody.

Owen slept in, but he was ready to go once he had his turkey hat on!

We are pumped about our Thanksgiving breakfast.

Papa D and Pa Doss love their new napping buddies. This was before we ate!

Uncle Jody and Cousin Liam with Nana

Brody got to eat sweet potatoes before the rest of us

Papa D and Nana with all their boys

Mom and Dad got to go to the movies on Friday and this is how Mom spent the rest of the day. Heaven!

Thanksgiving is very tough work!
