RSV?

Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!?!? Yes, RSV has plagued our door. Pretty sure I asked the doctor, "are you s***ing me?" when he gave me the news. I really hope I didn't, but it was tough news to swallow. The boys have been taking monthly shots to avoid this problem. The shots are kinda pricey and we really felt it was necessary due to all the lung trauma they had at birth. Dr. Nabulsi assured me the shots helped lessen the severity of Brody's RSV, but I was still a little ticked. I feel bad each month when the boys have to get those two big shots and I kinda questioned myself, but what do you do? Poor B-boy also got an ear infection to go along with the ol' RSV. He is a real trooper and hasn't been too whiny, just a clingy, which I secretly enjoy (the snuggles).

Owen has been a little jealous...or so I thought. Let me back-up. After a night with two baby boys in between Todd and I, we woke up happy. Brody had those juicy coughs, but I knew a doctor visit was coming. We had a bottle, got dressed, ate some fruit and cereal, and settled down with Drew and the Price is Right. Brody crept over to me and BARF. Thank you son! As I am cleaning my couch, rug, pants, etc. BARF. Thank you Owen. I thought he gagged himself. We made it through our day thanks to Lily, Todd came home early to help, and after dinner, BARF (Owen). What is happening? Then Owen started hacking and coughing. I did ask the doc how long before Owen got RSV...guess I got my answer.

Owen went to sleep and we haven't heard a peep, but Brody is another story. The medicine warned it might cause jitters. I laughed and thought how will I know...Brody is glassy-eyed and crawling in circles. Question answered!

I know many of you have survived this, I just needed to vent. We will survive! I was really feeling bad for myself and then I read about Sarah's day. Thanks for making me feel better!

I was so sad to hear the boys have RSV. Ugh. It IS totally unfair, after having them get the shots and all. Give them lots of love and kisses. I hope you manage to get some rest through all of this too! xoxoxo
