Happy Birthday to Me!

I know the title may sound a little bit vain, but it was a great birthday for me! I could not wish for more...an amazing husband, two perfect baby boys, fabulous family, and wonderful friends. I really appreciate all the calls, texts, and well wishes. Thank you so much. Owen and Brody were soooooooooo excited about my birthday. They woke up early and angry, wanting bottles and producing wet diapers. Who could ask for more? Truly, I had a great day. Lily surprised me with sweet and thoughtful gifts and then the best...a shower all by myself. I have lately put the boy in the pack-n-play in the bathroom so I have an audience. Today was nice, all by myself. This time last year I didn't know how much I would enjoy showering alone. On my big day a year ago, all I wanted was a big nap and lots of food. Who knew what how much my life would change in just one year. Last year it was me and Todd doin whatever, whenever, and now, I'm a mom or two. That's what I think is so great, how fast you're life can change for the best!

I had a meeting at lunch today and "an-always-impressive Kenye Kay: brought a chocolate cheesecake (it was as wonderful as it sounds, by the way) for my big day. Thirty is not bad. I have been prepping for this day for years thanks to Todd. He has told people it's my thirtieth birthday for the last five years. He made up for all the teasing today. I now have to face five months of teasing from my younger man, but it's totally worth it. I am now OLDER and WISER! Love you all!
