Big Day

Big day at the Rogers House today. Mom went to check on Miss Henley and Owen and Brody went to the movie for the first time ever! I'll get to some pics later.
First off, Henley and Momma.
I went to see Dr. Molland today for a check up. By my count I am 36 weeks. He likes to say 34 weeks and 5 days. We have this discussion each visit. My original due date was August 10th by the initial sonogram. Then by my cycle it was July 27th. Then by my 20 week sonogram is was August 1st. We finally agreed on July 29th as her due date. He explained each measurement is an estimate and he takes the average. Not to factor in the two week "gray" period where docs can be off. Anyway, I won't bore you with any more dates. She's coming when she's darn good & ready. She is in position. He said last week she was transverse meaning her head was not straight down. (TMI warning) (Nana- that means Too Much Information) My cervix has softened, not dialated, but at least we have progress! My belly measured at 37cm. When I asked what that meant, he said she was going to be a big healthy baby. I know I must have cringed at big. Keep in mind I did have over 10 pounds of baby in my belly last time, but they came out 5.3 at a time. The "big" makes me a little nervous. Another piece of good news...I lost 2 pounds! Dr. Molland is a stickler about weight and he made me feel bad at my last appointment because I had packed on a few. He has good reason. He knows in six months I'll be mouthing to him about the weight I can't lose. Love that guy! Miss Henley also has a new habit of the hiccups. I remember Owen getting them once, but I had them so early I don't think they had much opportunity. The hiccups upset my sweet little girl. She starts tossing around and seems rather annoyed.
Now, on to the big news! Owen and Brody's first movie experience. Guess what we saw?
TOY STORY 3!
Oh boy! The guys did so good. We tried to time it to miss the previews, but walked in seconds before they started. We went to Odessa to watch the movie because it wasn't in 3D there. We sat on the second row of the stadium part of the theatre with no one in front of us. The previews started and I passed out popcorn, and ...success! They did not move. Brody sat more still than I have ever seen a child. The only thing moving was that sweet little hand shoveling popcorn in his mouth. They were so serious and still the entire movie. I don't think they missed a thing. I look forward to many more movie nights with my guys (and gal).

I couldn't post without a few pics
This is usually how successful a picture is of both of them together

heading down stairs for our morning milk

Hurry up Momma! Look at that smile! Melt Momma's heart!

Come on!

What is taking sooooo long?

Swinging in our pajamas with bubbles. Does life get any better???

This is the way you will find the family room now. ALWAYS! The boys love to throw all the cushions off the couch and then use them as a wrestling arena. Fun for mom. Notice Holly is hiding on the love seat. Pretty sure Owen is under that pillow somewhere.
