San Diego Zoo w/ Pa Doss

We headed to San Diego for Pa Doss's 60th Birthday! Our first day was spent at the San Diego Zoo

First we killed time in the room doing our most favorite thing...

"I think we should start here..."

"you boys don't know anything!"

not getting any closer

We sat here forever watching an alligator just floating on top of the water. It was so neat.  He was about 18 inches back from the glass. Then, out of nowhere...he SNAPPED!!! I screamed and ran. Yes, left my children and saved myself...not a proud moment for mom!

Brody was all about posing with every animal he could find at the zoo. Who is this kid?

Time for our 4D adventure. Owen was so excited. He had seen an 4D at LegoLand

Brody was a little uneasy.  He bailed at our last 4D movie

OUT OF THERE! The first "effect" from the movie was a blast of cold air and fake snow being blown at the audience...she screamed and bolted for the door. (Owen had to leave early too. Toward the end a plant rustles and there was a blast of air from under the chair and it was Owen's signal to run)

Only one person had fun in the sky-car...guess who?

This is a BIG moment! Our very first face painting in the Rogers family! Both boys wanted to have their faces painted and hopped up in the chairs. Once she came at Owen with a brush he decided it was not for him.  Brody was rather squirmy but he managed to suffer through. He was beyond pumped about his snake.

Owen was jealous of Brody's snake, but just couldn't muster the strength to endure face painting, so he found this painting.  It turned out so cute!
