Brody's First X-rays

While we were in Austin, Brody had a tiny little accident.  We were eating dinner and the kiddos were playing on the playground. Brody was holding a toy in one hand and he decided he wanted to go on the monkey bars. Keep in mind he has never gone on or even attempted the monkey bars...BUT that night he went for it unattended with one hand.  Well, needless to say, it did not go well.  He fell and screamed out in pain.  Todd scooped him up and eventually stopped screeching he regained his composure. We really thought he would walk it off and be playing in no time.  No such luck. We went home and Todd and Pa Doss tortured him and tried to convince him they were going to cut off his foot with a back massager.  (It was pretty funny to everyone except Brody.) I doctored him up with a little Tylenol and left him to sleep with grandpa.  The next morning I was anxious to see if he would still be limping. Well, he was up crying ALL night. Apparently we had a real injury on our hands. Brody and I headed up to the Minor Emergency for an x-ray. Brody HATES is not a big fan of doctors so this was not an easy task. We were the only people in the clinic but you would think there was a bus crash with tons of injuries and not just one sweet little blue-eyed four year old. Luckily no break and the doc assured us he should be up and running in three to four days.  Pretty minor for our first x-ray experience.
