The Fourth in Ft. Davis

We had a great 4th of July this year!

On Friday, we headed down to Ft. Davis to spend the weekend with some great friends at the Davenport's amazing home.

Saturday morning we were in the parade. This is our buggy
Brody really felt he should have been given the opportunity to drive. Maybe next year?

This is the start of our motley crew! We were the best, as far as I'm concerned.

Buggy #1 with Adam at the wheel. Brody was up top with Dad throwing candy. Owen is in the front basket of the buggy behind us. (yes, Henley is asleep. She missed the whole parade.)

Buggy #3

Buggy #2

After the parade we enjoyed the festival and tons of fried food around the courthouse. A great end to the parade.

Later that day we climbed trees

enjoyed the cool green grass

Owen running and ready for bubbles
Enjoying the hammock under the beautiful 100ft Cottonwood trees

Breath taking views

Elk running (sorry for the bad picture. Rough road+toddler in my lap=fuzzy pic) They were beautiful.

Hmmm....what cha fishing out of that cooler?

WOW! Big frogs!

Time for frog racing! Check out Brody's face on the far left. These were the highest jumping frogs I had ever seen. As soon as we let them go, they were everywhere. One jumped at Brody and he jumped so high and squealed, I think I almost pasted out from laughing. Definitely a high light for the boys.

Blanket time. We spent lots of time relaxing on a blanket under the trees.

"Sharing" with Willa

Owen finishing up the hike with dad

Brody and Momma enjoying the view on our hike (round 2)

The beautiful chapel up in the mountains. Can you see the pews and the cross?

King of the World (at least our world)

Brody ending the hike with a little help from dad

"Where are we going" "I'm hot" "Let's go home"

We went on a one mile hike (twice) the first time we went too late in the day. This is how our conversation went with the boys.

Hold on! Here we go!

We took this awesome buggy out for some joy rinding on the ranch roads. It was sooo rough, dusty, hilly, and crazy!!!! The boys SLEPT!!! This tops their list of craziest places we've slept. I'm so glad I was driving, Todd had a death grip on their limp little rag doll sleeping bodies.

Ultimate Frisbee

This was the boys favorite thing to do. I wish I had gotten a pic of my boys riding behind one of the older boys (Although this one of Katie and Faye is great!). Keelan would pedal and Owen and Brody would alternate riding in the trailer and running behind the bike for hours. Can you say WORN OUT!!!!

Riding in the mule with Mr. Davenport was pretty cool too!
