Blanket Rides and Aunt JJ

These pics are old, but I have been meaning to post them.
The boys convinced Daddy to give them a quick blanket ride before work

Owen was a little off

Much better position. You can really go fast this way. This is our sure fire way to cheer up our guys. Daddy does it best! They don't think Mom is very much fun.

Aunt JJ turned 33!

Owen loved the party. He open all of Aunt JJ's gifts. This boys is ready for Christmas!

Fun Times

Yesterday I finally got our carpets cleaned. Of course, it was the one day it rained here and the boys refused to sleep. I had to have the front door open for four hours and manage to keep the boys and the dog from running away, pulling on the hoses, and just plain going crazy. It turned out to be a fun afternoon!
I have told the boys not to go between the wall and the fridge. This is why! Who knew? Mom is always right! Yes, I did leave him stuck while I went to get the camera.

I decided since we were muddy, how bad could suckers be?

Sweet Owen

B-boy lovin' that sucker

FUNNIEST PICTURE!!!!!!!!!!
You might have to enlarge this to really appreciate it!

Adventures with Grandparents

My wonderful parents, Nana and Papa D, came to babysit while Todd and I headed to Vegas (will post later) for a long weekend. Mom said she was so excited about their "vacation" with the boys. Is she kidding? I know my boys had the time of their life and they have not quit talking about how much fun they had.
This is our favorite book. As you can see, we had to use it just to get them outside. Dad said they read this book at least 100 times. The boys now know what a cow and sheep say.

they even got Nana into the tee pee!

they showed off their wrestling skills

Poor Nana had the stomach bug ALL day Saturday. Papa D did it ALL for us boys! Nana said she couldn't have anything to do with dirty diapers or food, well those two activities pretty much sum up most of the boys' day.

Papa D loves this pic. Can you imagine if I had FOUR little boys!?!?!?!?
Thanks so much Nana and Papa D! We can't wait for you to come play again!

Haircut, Take Two

We got our haircut! No one really knows the true excitment this statement holds. Except, my parents. I have been holding off on the boys haircut until my parents got here. I needed reinforcements. These are the good pictures. Once the screaming and flood of tears started, I did not get any pics.

Brody, pre haircut

Owen pre haircut

Just hanging out in these cool cars, little did they know what was coming...

The "after" picture. My mother, who love those curls more than anything, suggested shaving their heads so they would not have to be put through that torture for a long while.

First Pony Ride

First off...check out our new flip flops!
Owen thought they were pretty cool!

Brody did not!

Look at Brody on his first pony ride! He did so good.

Owen wanted nothing to do with that pony. We took turns trying to get him up there with no luck!

Brody man cruising like a real cowboy. You can't tell from the pick but he was squeezing those little legs to hold on!

Georgia caught a ride with her man, Brody.

Owen watched from the sidelines in this silly cowboy hat. He is not happy!

Brody made friends with the saint at the door. Such a good guy!

We got home from the party and Brody assumed he could ride Holly too. She has four legs and a tail, why not?

Car Wash

I went to get my car washed yesterday after we went and worked out. I popped a movie in and even passed out fries. Well...

Brody was terrified!

Owen was more or less irritated that he couldn't hear the movie over Brody's screams. He attempted to whimper, but decided he really wasn't scared.

Brody was beyond consolable. The reason I find this so funny (I'm a horrible mother) is because I was absolutely terrified of the car wash as a child. In my defense, I want to point out the car washes of my childhood had those enormous scary bushes which were TERRIFYING!
My mother to this day loves to point out that I cried every time we went to have the car washed, so this is for you, Mom.

Fourth of July

Well, we survived our Fourth of July tour of Texas! We had a great long weekend with family. The boys were troopers and with exception of a stomach bug we all passed around (dad is sick right now) they did great and loved ALL the attention. Brody and Dad pool side at Pa Doss's house

Owen found the water canon and shot himself in the face more than anything else

Family photo!! We ate at this amazing place outside Austin. This is the "backyard" behind the patio. The kiddos got to run around and wear themselves out while we enjoyed tasty beverages! Beautiful!

Momma and her boys!

Owen was pooped from running around and playing on the animals (they were statues)

Great Ma, as a mom of twins, had TWO chairs for us. Her sweet twin babies used these chairs when they were little and now her great grandsons can use them. There is a boy chair and a girl chair. Great Ma told Chelsea (Todd's cousin, Ross's wife) that if I have a girl and she has a boy, then we each get a chair. I have two boys and Chelsea has a girl, wouldn't that work out too? Great Ma just wants more babies!

This is our motley crew waiting for the parade. Sweet baby Cambree is in the carrier and slept the entire time.

Owen followed Great Ma's lead and waved at everyone in the parade

Brody loved playing on the deck, and no he could not fit through the gap at the bottom of the railing.

This is where Todd and I hung out before the party with the boys to wear them out!

Ross, Chelsea, Cambree, and Dad

Mimi and Jim have a big fourth of July party every year with a hat contest. Todd got serious this year and even made bumper stickers to drum up support. Too bad the judge, his own mother, didn't even vote for him. Something about family can't win...whatever. He was robbed. Yes the fan turns the pinwheel and makes the flag wave and he has "All American Beef and Cheese" sticks glued to his hat. Gross!

Great Ma had so much great stuff to touch (when no one was looking)

We went over to the Marriott to take a dip in the pool

Owen loved the baby pool

Fireworks party. Owen was still supporting Dad

Brody had to get in on the action

Great Ma and Great Pa with their great grand kids

Good-lookin' boys

Mimi had these awesome desserts. They were angel food cake cubes on a stick dipped in icing with sprinkles. Yummy!
