No More Floaties!

Today was a big day! Henley had decided to drop the floatie and swim unassisted!!!
Todd and I got in the water with the kids and I decided to take off her Puddle Jumper to see what she could do. She swam along the ledge and back and forth to me a few times as ling as I was very close. Then she bailed on the pool and headed for the hot tub where she can touch the bottom.  She swam back and forth for a good while and the next thing we knew she was in the pool swimming across the shallow end!!! So exciting! We are so proud of our little fish!

Henley has been trying to put her face in the water and look around but couldn't get under the water with her floaties on.  Her and Owen, the goggle twins just hang out under water.

Henley's Dance Recital

We've enjoyed another great year of dance, tumbling, and cheer at Bingham.
Anxiously awaiting rehearsal with Willa and Fay

Her Hip Hop costume. It was perfect when them shimmy-ed

This is Henley's favorite move. Each week I beg her to show me something she learned in class, and each week this is what she gives me
Their ballet routine was Cinderella.  Henley could not have been happier!
O&B were so thrilled to attend the recital! Ha! Between the little girls numbers, while they were changing, a senior girl came out and performed.  She was dressed as Jasmine and wearing a cute "little" outfit. Man! Did these two boys perk up! Apparently they thought Jasmine was a very good dancer!

Henley Here Lately

Henley is quite a treat here lately. She had a few month spell, while precious, she was very difficult. The "terrible threes" I heard about were in BIG TIME action. She and I get to hang out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday while the boys are at school so we've made lots of memories this year.

Sitting in her Little Mermaid chair she picked out. She refused the standard green collapsible lawn chair...shocking! She watches all her brothers' game from this perch.

I'm so proud of the swimmer she is becoming! This past week she has gotten so brave and is swimming so well by herself.

Posing in front of the Bluebonnets at Bluebonnet cafe after a yummy breakfast with GreatMa and GreatPa. She put away her HUGE pancake.

I pulled up to school to pick up Henley and she was rocking these glasses. They are so "Spy Glasses"

Picked up Henley on Thursday wearing her "Listening Ears".

This girl can put away the corn on the cob! She is definitely her mother's child!

Henley loves her princesses! I heard her today talking to Holly (our dog), she was holding up each princess and introducing them to Holly. She sleeps with Rapunzel and Pascal lots of nights because she insists on reading Rapunzel's Magical Hair and likes acting it out with these two friends.

While cleaning the flower beds and planting my flowers, Henley thought she would test out the hot tub...67 degrees and she stuck it out for a few minutes!

One day last week, I pulled up to the kindergarten door to get the boys. Owen's teacher ran down to the preschool door to grab Henley for me. When Henley got in the car, in her most serious voice, "Momma, you forgot me!"... She doesn't miss a thing!

O&B triathlon

The YMCA had Healthy Kids Day this past Saturday. The boys did the mini triathlon.

Getting instructions. We told them nothing. They're such good sports with all the stuff we throw at them. I feel like they'll stress if they know too much before hand...I'm sure they'll tell me I stressed them out someday bc they never knew what was going on!

Waiting their turn to swim. All the kids had to wear life jackets. Owen jumped the guy and looked like a torpedo because his huge life jacket had his body out of the water and his legs were going a million miles an hour.

They slid down the stairs from the pool to the first floor on huge mats, put on socks and shoes and ran around the building.

You can tell their high rate of speed from the blurs in the pictures!

Then three laps on the trikes...

Victory! Sister was happy with just a sucker (didn't pass age requirements)

They are so very tough...We should probably start IronMan training?

After photo booth fun, petting zoo, jumpers, and snacks....Owen requested his picture be taken like this...ok

Then off to celebrate a friend's birthday at Chuck E Cheese

Me and my sweet girl! Love this picture!

Easter 2014 at HSB

Great Ma and Great Pa invited us to the lake for Easter...who would pass that up?
Look how sweet they can be
This is what they really want to do.

 Waiting, waiting, waiting...we want eggs!
Hanging with their cousins...still waiting to hunt!
 My sweet little butterfly
My sweet green skeleton faced angel...great choice O-Man
Brody opted for Terminator...not quite as scary as Owen
 Precious girls
Great Ma and Great Pa with their great-grandkids...pretty good looking bunch
The Easter Bunny loved their face painting

So glad the Easter Bunny found us!
They have no idea he has already come to drop the goodies off

Ready for church
 Brody getting some Bunny hugs

Henley is still not sure about this Bunny, but with Dad by her side, she was good to go
The Great Grandkids did great and survived their fancy lunch

We had a great Easter!
