Disneyland Day 2, Part 2

After a half-hour refresh in the room, the Rogers fearsome five were ready to attack California Adventure Park again!

We decided to head back to Adventure Park and revisit what we loved and check out what we missed. Just outside our hotel was this awesome area called Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. It was a three story maze of bridges, slides, stairs, tunnels and tons of fun! (the bonus was there was one way into the area and one way out and no child was allowed out without an adult!)

This was, literally, the ONLY puddle in all of Disneyland...and Henley found it...and got in it! Brody and I went to the restroom and when I came back, her feet were soaked! The water was only 1/2 inch deep but she got at least 3 inches wet! She missed the memo to step ON the rocks.

The boys disappeared forever! They ran and ran for at least two hours.  Todd and I finally stayed in one place and just waited for them to run by

Here they come!!!!

Little Miss did not care for walking on the the rope bridges so lucky Mom got to carry her while trying not to break my ankle.  I passed a struggling dad and he commented to his equally struggling son that a mom can manage the bridge while holding a child...I enjoyed the praise!

After they ran and played we let them pick what ride they wanted to do again.  Of course the Toy Story 3D was the choice.  Thank goodness the line was super short. It was 7:00 and I think most people had retired for the day or were eating dinner

she is such a fashionista!

Thank goodness the Lunsfords let us borrow their stoller! Not only did it cart children, it hauled LOTS of stuff!!! We would never have made it without this!

Henley thinks she is Jessie

Here's our goodies! Nana and Papa D sent each of the kids a gift card to buy a treat.  The kids spotted what they wanted on day one. I told them if they still wanted it, we would go back before we left.  Well, they stuck to their guns and didn't change their minds! Thanks Nana and Papa D!

Henley picked Jessie.  I took these pics at dinner (which we finally forced our kids to eat at 9:00 at night!) after the Goofy Roller Coaster.  We headed over to ride Goofy ONE more time, well...Brody rode it FOUR times in a row! He was hooked! This is a serious roller coaster, no joke, my kids are dare devils! Momma is ready for bed!!!!!

Disneyland Day 2

Day 2...we were not up and running this morning, but there were not many people ahead of us!

So excited for a day of new adventures

Me and Perry and Perry

Our first ride was Space Mountian.  HUGE success! They loved it!

The boys opted for a Star Wars ride, so Henley and I were searching for Tiana. This was beyond perfect! Henley was speechless.

Henley LOVES Tiana! This was her first princess idol!

We took a submarine ride to search for Nemo and then headed to the room to refresh and get ready for a fun night.

Day One Continued

Luckily the boys were down to ride the Cars ride again, because I was dying to go.  They talked about it all day and it was by far their favorite...I wanted to ride too! They did so good waiting in line and being patient. I was impressed.  Pa Doss opted out.  He and Henley went to the Little Mermaid ride. Wow, does he know his audience?

Got to meet Lightning McQueen!

We were on the hunt for the perfect Micky Ears (trust me when I say there are unlimited choices of characters and themes) and this is what these two settled on.  They loved them!

We squeezed in one more ride before the Water Show

We packed in a full day! I'm so impressed with my little family.  They made it from open to close!

Disneyland Day One

With the springing ahead due to Daylight Saving Time and the two hour time difference, we were up and running very early today!

Ate a great breakfast to fuel up

our first character spotting

Waiting to get into the park. This was so exciting. We kept talking about Disneyland, but they still had no idea what Disneyland really was!

Pa Doss had to hold on to them. They were sooo ready to see EVERYTHING!

Everyone went to ride the cars roller coaster and Miss Henley was not tall enough so we went to explore. I was so excied to see Big Red, but Henley was NOT! She and I found a nice tame ride and took a spin while we waited.

Flick!

We had lunch at Ariel's Grotto. This was so fun! Henley loved ALL the princesses. Ariel was by far her favorite.

We were eating lunch with the princesses and the boys spotted Buzz across the water. I grabbed them and we ran to meet him.  He was great! He pretended to battle Woody (Owen) with Buzz's (Brody) help.

The 3D Toy Story Interactive game was popular and had a long line.  Well, my sweet children took this opportunity to take a good 45 minute nap.  It was totally worth holding them because they didn't complain about the long line and they woke up in a great mood!
