Seems like a simple project...scrape the living room ceilings and paint everything...how long can this possibly take?

Halloween Night 2011

So cute in her outfit from Nana! I love the holidays for so many reasons (especially all the little girls outfits!)

ScoobyDoo was all ready to go trick or treating. He absolutely loved Halloween and could not get enough!

We decided to wear our third costume for Halloween night. The peacock was just too hot for today. Gotta love Texas weather.

Our first house!!! It was Grammie's. Thought we should start with some friendly faces.

Guess who was there? Great Pa and Great Ma were in town for the opening of the new preforming arts center. Rod Stewart was performing. Look out! Midland is big time!

I know I'm biased, but Brody is the cutest BumbleBee I've ever seen!

This girl loves a baby!

We headed out and stopped at a few houses. Mostly my Bunco ladies that were between Grammie's and our house. Halloween was fun, but it's a tough time for the little guys who go to bed early. I know they had fun, but they would have been happy to just stay home and hand out candy. It was by far the high light of their night. They screeched and ran to the door each time the bell rang.

This guy just wanted to put his feet up and enjoy some fruit snacks. He's such a party animal!

The sword glowsticks were a hit. Sister is totally unaware of all the action she is missing behind her. Must have been too busy strutting in her fancy pink boots!

Definitely a Happy Halloween!

They Did It!

The boys sang in church this morning, and...

Did great!!!! We were so proud of them! They sang "Jesus Loves Me" and signed most of the song too. I was glad they did not fall down the stairs, cry, pick their noses, or lay on the ground. Success!

Bath Time

Todd headed to Dallas for the World Series last night, Go Rangers! So...Grammie came over to hang out and help with our bedtime ritual. All 3 in the tub, scrub-a-dub-dub! Grammie got Henley out and dressed and ran downstairs to grab something. While I was brushing Brody's teeth and giving meds, I hear Owen exclaim, "NO NO Baby Sista!!!!". When I turn around...

Bath #2 for my sweet girl! She kept right on playing. Wet clothes, wet diaper, no problem!

Fiddlesticks Farm

We headed out to Fiddlesticks Farm this morning. This is the first time I've been out there. My parents took the boys 2 years ago and we somehow missed it last year.

The "other" Rogers went with us.

Cow train rides

Pig races

School bus rides

Blob jumping

The boys loved this bouncy blob

I think this was Brody's favorite

Daddy came out and saved Henley from her stroller for a bit

Brody raced down the huge slide

Owen preferred to catch a ride with dad

Henley's first corn dog...she was a BIG fan!

Owen first corn dog too (yes, pickiest eater) not as big a fan as Sister.

Brody flying out of the fastest slide ever!

Owen racing down the slide

We road a hayride out to a kinda sad pumpkin patch

Owen searching for the perfect pumpkin

Brody found a gourd or squash- like ball

Ending our day with another cow train ride! Good times!

Terrific Tuesday

Fall blew into to Midland Monday night (along with all the dirt from Lubbock to here). So for school on Tuesday we pulled out our fall clothes.

Henley was boo-tiful!

After our tennis lessons all the girls took me to lunch for my birthday. Yes, the cake was huge! But more importantly it was oh-so-tasty!

The letter for this week is "H".
H is for Hat.

After school we enjoyed the cool weather and played outside.

Owen was in heaven pulling every toy out of the garage. This morning Owen was no quite ready to get his day started and his attitude was not pleasant. He fought me on wearing this shirt (which he requested to wear) and I had to turn on the charm to sell him on the idea of wearing his "MON STER shirt". Got dressed, got in car, walked into school. Owen stops at the doorway to his class, holds his arms straight out, and demands his class's attention..."Look at my shirt!" All the kids in his class are staring at him with blank stares. Didn't stop him. He went looking for his teacher. She played the game and bubbled over with excitement. He was pleased!

Everybody buckle up!

Brody asked to be a cowboy. It took me a minute to realize he wanted to ride the horse swing.

Really? Miss Henley, can you be still for just one minute???

Henley snacked on brother's cheetos (yes, her hair is lovely!)...

We kind-of successfully got haircuts...

Henley helped mom cook dinner
It's been a busy week and I'm looking forward to a low-key weekend with my sweet family!
