One Month Old

Our sweet little girl is one month old!!!
Weight 10 lbs (75%)
Height 22 inches (90%)

Check out my shoes!

Still got ALL my pretty hair! Mommy keeps forgetting my bows! She not use to all this girly stuff yet.

NO MORE PICTURES! You're making me cross-eyed.
(this gives the willies when she crosses her eyes. I always think about mom telling me if you make an ugly face it will stay that way!)

One month check-up day with Dr. Nabulsi.
Dr. Nabulsi said Henley still looked a little yellow. She was yellow at her initial check-up but my milk had just come in so he was not concerned. This time he suggested I stop nursing for two day and let her catch some rays. He referred to it as breastfed jaundice. Never heard of it?

Sharon gave Henley this outfit the minute she found out we were having a girl and then my sweet friend gave her the outfit. This ensemble was meant to be!

Family Time

We been enjoying lots of family time since Henley has come home...
Sweet Brody
(check out what he has trapped under the box and notice his BIG, very proud smile)
He's checking on his prisoner
(No children were harmed or suffocated during this activity)

Brody is much sweeter to his sister (he still pretty much avoids her at all costs) these days. Sometimes he'll crawl up in your lap even if Henley is there. This man loves to cuddle and he's not going to let that little lady stop him.

Here's Papa D before he heads back to Dallas

Grammie brought Aunt JJ by to see Henley when she was in town

Daddy getting in some good tickle time with Owen. Henley was probably asleep during all the squealing. She is a trooper and has an amazing ability to sleep through the LOUD craziness of this house.

Owen is definitely his sister's keeper. He is always concerned about where "baby sista" is and what "baby sista" is doing, eating, wearing...

Great Grandparents are here!

Great Ma and Great Pa came in from Horseshoe Bay as fast as they could to meet their fourth great grand child. Looks like they like her?
Nan came and spent the afternoon with her newest great grand child. Aunt JJ is in the back ground rocking her baby in Henley's blanket. Aunt JJ thought Henley was pretty cute!

Sweet girl hanging out in her cradle in the living room.
It's kinda nice the boys aren't interested in her so I don't have to worry about them messing with her when I'm not looking.

Whoa!
Looks who's getting curious!

Getting closer....

Contact!!!!
As soon as her touched her he wiggled out of Nana's arms and ran away squealing. Thank goodness this little girl can sleep through anything!

Henley's First Bath

It's time for this little girl to have a bath!
I had washed Henley's hair a couple of time before we actually hit the tub. She is so funny because she never wakes up and I just tilt her head back and give it a little wash. I was hoping the bath would be just a relaxing.

Uh Oh. Not quite as nice as just a shampoo

Getting better (I love this little sling to lay her on so I didn't submerge her umbilical cord, which fell off the day before her two week birthday) Look at that full belly!

After she finally started enjoying the warm bath, I took her out and really made her mad!

Ahhhh....
Dry, dressed and resting in her crib.

Buzz is Real Life

Nan, the boys great-grandmother, brought them a surprise when she came to visit...
Owen was more than excited to "become" Buzz

He's showing mini-Buzz who's boss

Activating his wings

Shooting his laser

Checking out his new look in the mirror
(take note of the look on Brody's face. Needless to say, he had NO interest in putting on his costume)

The boys

Our best family pic to date. Mom is the only one missing, but I'm behind the camera.
Does that count?

Dad's new duty is to take the boys outside and let them run till they can't run anymore!

Brody is doing his "Ready, Set, Go" drill here. The boys learned this trick from our friend Amy and they love to race one another.

Owen was running and running and running, while squealing with joy!

Brody is running back up the hill. I remember when they could maneuver this hill behind the house. They used to just roll down it!

Owen loves his new remote control truck from Pa Doss. I have banished it to outside because those big tire really hurt mom's bare feet!

Two Weeks Old

Miss Henley is two weeks old (August 11). She has been eating and sleeping like a pro. We are truly in love with her. Her brothers love her, even though they have yet to show it. I weighed her and she is up to 8lb and 6oz. I love that she is so healthy, but she's already growing up too fast!
This girl loves her Boppy (the pillow thing she's laying on). I used my Boppys SO much with the boys because I could put one baby on each side of me and they were supported while I tended to the other one. I really didn't know if I would need it with one baby, but she is quite the fan. At night when she's not ready to go right back to sleep (as mommy is) after our late night feeding, she hangs out in her Boppy between Todd and I until she's ready to join us in sleepy-time. As soon as I hear those sweet deep breathes, she is returned to her bed. I usually feed her around 10 and she's making it to 2 or 3 and then holds off again until around 7. Her schedule isn't too hard on mom.

Three Deep

Here we go!
Our first trip three deep. We headed off to school to drop the boys off and then onto Henley's first appointment with Dr. Nabulsi. We actually left on time and only had to go back to the house once for something we forgot. Not bad! (Nana is still here. I DID NOT do this on my own.)
How cute are they? Looks easy. Right?

This is the first picture. Owen is totally confused as to why I'm taking pictures. He doesn't even notice Henley. Brody is screaming because I pinched his fingers between his and Henley's car seat. I think Henley was the only one not too upset. Mom and I managed to take Henley to the doctor and run a few errands without much trouble. We even went to pick the boys up with Henley in tow. I sat in the car and fed her because I have not figured out this schedule thing yet. We'll get there.

Happy 7th Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad!
Todd and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary with a quiet dinner at home...with a newborn, the boys, my mom, and pajamas!
We could not be happier! There's no other place I would rather be. We are so blessed to have a happy, healthy family that is full of love.
I love you Todd! Thank you for seven wonderful years of marriage, three beautiful children and a fabulous life.

First Lazy Day with the Family

Well, it's Sunday...you know what that means at the Rogers House...Sunday Funday by the pool!

Henley's got her sun suit on and relaxed on the porch under the fan

This was her next outfit of the day

Owen decided a Capri Sun was worth getting out of the pool for

Owen got right back to chillin' in the pool
How cool is this guy?

Nothing like sharing a chocolate chip cookie with your brother

Such "sweet" boys

I think Pa Doss is a proud grandfather

What cookies????
------------
I am the luckiest mom in the world. I love these kiddos!!!!
