Floatie-Free

Owen is now floatie-free.  Here's how it went down...CC came over to swim this afternoon while Nicole ran a few errands.  All the kids wanted to swim so all four strapped on their floaties and the pool party started. A few weeks ago, our friend Harper came to swim. Owen has quite a fondness for Harper so he had to venture out of the "little pool" (hot tub) to keep up with her.  Until now he liked to stay there while Brody was swimming in the "big pool". Well, CC convinced me she didn't need her floatie and she was showing me what a good swimmer she was.  Owen got out of the pool to have a snack and he took off his floaties.  He sat on the side of the pool watching CC and just decided to go for it...I was a nervous wreck.  Luckily, Nicole has been through this step with 2 girls so she convinced me to sit back and let him have his space.  He amazed me! He was fearless and swam from one side of the pool to the other.  He did so good! I am so proud of him but not sure I'm ready for this.
