Day 5 and the Boardwalk

We woke up and truck down to the beach and went on a walk

We found a hole and all the kiddos decided they needed a hole of their own

I love her curls!!!!!!

It was a treat to get to snuggle with this little lady everyday for her post-lunch nap. Waking up sooo early seemed like a good idea at the time but caught up with her after lunch each day

Owen loved letting Grammie bury him so he could rise out of the sand like a zombie

Brody ran in a circle around Owen and Grammie waiting for the zombie to rise and chase him

After we cleaned up we headed to the boardwalk

What are they looking at????

Bungee trampolining!!!! Owen yelled with each jump and did a really good job pushing off the trampoline

Brody was grinning ear to ear and giggling the entire time. He did a great job jumping

Dolphin Cruise and Day 4

Today we started the day with a Dolphin Cruise

Henley was ALL about me today on the boat, and refused to let anyone else hold her. Until, this sweet lady that worked on the boat reached out to Henley. Little Miss jumped into her arms and stayed with her for the next hour.  I felt bad she had to carry Henley around but they both seemed fine with it.

After the cruise and a huge lunch of the most amazing crab legs, we went in search of the jump we found yesterday.

Ready to see the spot her brothers have been talking about

Not sure what brought on her new pose.  Soon after this, Henley LICKED the beach! I guess she had been wandering what it would taste like.  Needless to say she did not like it. She didn't freak out but I know for sure she didn't do it again.

Owen tried to be cute like Henley but didn't to into account the waves

I loved the huge tub in our condo. It was like bathing the kids in a hot tub.  The first night when I was bathing them the faucet snapped off at the base creatig a HUGE fountain. As you can imagine, they were disappointed in every bath after the faucet was fixed.

little diva

Owen hamming it up!

Adult dinner! Thanks to Grammie, Great Ma and Great Pa for babysitting!

Destin- Day 3

We woke up, got pretty, and smiled BIG for our family pics this morning

Alligator heads for the boys...who else but a Great Grandmother can give this kind of a gift.  They loved it!

Here's our humble abode for the week.  It was heaven!

How on earth is he by himself?

Owen flexing

today we found the ultimate jump, dude! The ocean had created this little valley and in turn created an afternoon of entertainment. They would stand on either side and jump off the ledge and race across before the tide got them.

Henley missed out on the jumping

I hung out with Great Ma and enjoyed beverages

Grammie and B-boy

Destin - Day 2

Today we were up EARLY and ready to go.  It is completely daylight at 6:30 and we were so excited for day 2.

That's Todd's grandfather, Great Pa, who we owe this trip to.  He and Great Ma have been coming here for years and invited all of us along this year.

Great Ma explaining the ocean to B-boy

our camp

snacking with our mermaid baby

We went to an early dinner (3:45) because we had family pictures scheduled for 6:00

this is how we got to the beach from our condo

thank goodness the pictures were postponed due to rain so we could play in someone else's castle

watching the big kids

Let's see if we can find a crab tonight

we all had glow bracelets on our wrists and ankles (wish it showed up better in pics) because it was neat

We found the only crab in Destin!
I was walking along holding hands with Brody when I spotted the crab. Ross went for it and chased it into the ocean. Meanwhile, Brody climbed my body like a coconut tree.  He literally went from standing in the sand to wrapped around my torso immediately! Steph couldn't get him off me. Picture an octopus suctioned to your face. She was scared she would break his fingers or arms if she tried to pry him off me. Me, being the comforting mother I am, was laughing so hard I thought I might pass out.

I think the kids liked hunting the crabs much more than actually finding one...
