Our 1st Halloween Party

We attended our 1st Halloween party of the season yesterday. Our sweet friends hosted a spooky playdate!

Pumpkin princess was oh-so-precious!

Owen really wanted to wear a costume and I was so upset when sister came down stairs "dressed up". I convinced him it was a dress. His response, "I want a dress Momma!"

Henley felt asleep on the way over. She enjoyed a nap on my friend's shoulder.

Brody hitchin' a ride with a fellow twin. I don't think Coop planned a hauling B-boy around.

Owen loved the props

Sister needed some convincing...

The hit of the party, as far as Owen was concerned, Monster Teeth!

We jumped! Yes, Brody is down to just his underwear. He was an underwear model for Halloween. (his clothes got wet and piece by piece he kept removing them. Thank goodness his undies didn't get wet!)

They played at the water table...

Drove the car...

Had a pile-up.

Brody enjoyed the swamp table with squishy eyeballs and spiders.

Owen loved the spiders

Here's Brody's attempt at a Risky Business costume

Preview...

Halloween is just around the corner...

Owen wanted a turn...

Brody even took a turn...

but it's her costume!!!!

By the way, guess who's walking???? She still prefers crawling most of the time, but if her hands are full or if she's distracted by something, she will walk to her destination. I have been putting her in squeaker shoes so I can keep up with where she is. She is fast!!!!

Pumpkin Time at the Arboretum

After our whirlwind trip to Louisiana and the Cowboys game, Nana and I threw the kids back in the car and headed to the Dallas Arboretum. It's Pumpkin time!

My little pumpkin Henley

Owen enjoyed carrying around the smaller pumpkins and rearranging the piles.

Group Shot...take 1

Owen peeking out the window

FINALLY! Brody is not the most cooperative child to photograph, but when he does, it is cute!

He worked hard moving the big pumpkins

While Owen climbed all over them

and Sister just perched on them!

the boys ran...

and ran...

and ran! This was a great activity to do before loading all these silly monkeys on an airplane back to Midland.

Baham Family Reunion Day 2

We woke up bright and early and headed back to Elizabeth to the Baham Girls Family Reunion.

Aunt Pam (Nana's younger sister) with Nana and Henley

There was a great park right next to the community center and the weather was perfect for little boys to run and play

Aunt Sharon, the 2nd oldest sister, with sweet Henley. It was funny that Henley was the baby at the reunion. I am the youngest of the 13 grandchildren, so I guess it's fitting I had the youngest family member there.

Owen made himself at home and enjoyed meeting everyone.

The Baham Girls

Aunt Sharon 2, Nana 4, Aunt Bonnie 1, Aunt Pam 5, Aunt Laveda 3

Brody and Liam. Liam is totally into this hug

the four boys. 1 out of 4 cooperating is pretty good...

sweet hugs

more hugs...

more sweet hugs...

Nana and Papa with their kiddos...

and grandsons.

They ran till they could not run anymore! Both boys came inside after their cousins left, sat down, and promptly fell asleep.

I really wish they would have waited until we got in the car to drive back to Dallas...oh well!

Baham Family Reunion Day 1

After flying to Dallas with all three kids, we (Nana, Papa D, and I) loaded up our rented minivan with all the kiddos and headed to Louisiana for the 1st Baham Girls Family Reunion.

Brody enjoyed the trip (all 7 hours) but was glad when we arrived in Elizabeth. Everyone did so good even though there was NO dvd in the car. I knew they would! I know, the horror!!!

Baby Sister was excited to stretch her legs with her Papa!
This is the Town Hall in Elizabeth. It was once a hospital. In fact, Nana was born in this hospital just a couple of miles away from Papa D's house, and they didn't meet until college!

I tried to get a pic of the school. Students K-12 attend this school. It was the school Papa D attended.

We stopped to visit with Wayne and Martha Ann and the boys enjoyed playing on the tractor. Brody eyed it from the porch the whole time we were sitting there, and when no one was looking, he made his move. Next thing we knew he's perch up there driving. Owen was busy trying to learn to crack a bull whip, until he saw B and he had to have a turn on the tractor.

You're in the country now! Who would ever know Owen's a city boy? Our next stop was Aunt Sharon's house. We got to pet the donkey, rode on the saddle, sat on the tractor...

trained the dog...

rode on a four-wheeler with cousin Brian and his daughter, Sadie.

Down at Brian's house, we tried on a REAL fireman's hat,

Brody got a turn too (Brian and his wife, Heidi, are volunteer fire fighters),

After we played with their pet bunny, hiked through the woods to play on the white sandy beach by the river, and jumped on the trampoline...best thing of all, A SCHOOL BUS!!!! My boys love school buses. We talk about them daily and love to watch the big boys across the street get off the bus every afternoon. This was a dream come true to get on a real bus. SO FUN!

That night at the hotel our fabulous cousins arrived!

Proud Grandparents!!!!

This was just before we rode the shuttle to the casino for dinner at the buffet. With this many little ones to feed after a day of travel, the buffet sounded like the perfect place. (Todd and I just got back from Vegas so I have been in 2 casinos in 2 different states this week, ENOUGH!) Henley loved the buffet. She ate everything I gave her to try. She is also very congested at this point...yes, she did...ALL OVER HER MOMMA!!!! Bless her heart, the minute I picked her up she lost her dinner all over mom. Time for this long day to end. We need to rest up for tomorrow's reunion!
