She's growing up

It's been a long time coming...but I keep finding excuses...but Henley turned three and it's time for the crib to go....

Here it is. I already took the canopy off before I remembered to take a picture. She sleeps so well in her crib, so I've not been in a hurry to get Miss Henley a big girl bed. The last couple of weeks she's been crying out at night so it was the shove I needed to transition her.


Today, I went for it! I brought a load of laundry up and took one last look at her baby bed and started dismantling it. Another reason I've been slow to transition is I REALLY want to use my Great Grandmother's bed in Henley's room. I need to get it repaired and I just haven't.


I decided to just get a frame until I can decide what to do. As you can tell...she loved it! As soon as it had sheets on it, she was ready for bed!


Well, bedtime has come...not going as smoothly as I thought. Henley sleeps in normal beds anytime we travel but someone is usually in bed with her or at least in the room. She and I read our stories and haves kisses, then meltdown. She thought she got a big girl bed so I could sleep WITH her! I'm trying to be patient as I lay next to her blogging....I'll keep you posted!
