Getting Tubes

We started our day off bright (very dark) and early. We were at Midland Memorial Hospital at 6:15. Todd and I were very nervous for today. We really didn't think the boys would handle waking up so early very well, but they proved us wrong. We had the car loaded and warmed up and they slid right into their seat to enjoy a movie on the ride. We checked in and were in our room in under five minutes. Still no tears! Doing great guys!

Tears!
Shot? Medicine? Scary Doctor? Nope.
The hospital bracelet around the ankle was our undoing.
Really?

Owen didn't handle the bracelets well either, but the bag of tricks perked him up quickly

Daddy saved the day by turning on "Up" for their viewing pleasure

Daddy is SOOO funny. He was showing B-boy how easy it was to put the monitor on his finger. Still doing great!
------
Next we were rolled down to the waiting docks. Literally "we" were rolled down. I rode with Owen and Daddy and Brody came down to join us about 5 minutes later. The boys were so funny because they received a "cocktail" before the ride and it made them wobbly and goofy. When Todd and Brody rolled in next to me and Owen he let out a loud, slurred "Hi, Momma". We were quite the family affair. They wrapped up Owen and took him off so I got to visit with Brody, and before I knew it, they were rolling Owen in and taking Brody back. Both boys did great and the doc said there wasn't lots of scarring and he sees nothing but healthy little boys in our future!
Back in the room, Owen chugged his milk and was back to the toys. Brody did not like the waking up part of this day, so there are no pics of his very sad face.

Is this the cutest thing you have ever seen?
.....
Thanks for all the prayers, phone calls, emails, texts, get-well-baskets, dinner, and other yummies! We really appreciate our great friends! Both boys came home and slept all day off-and-on and ate a huge dinner and went off the dream land very easy. Overall...very successful day!

So glad it went well! Must have been hard, but man are they cute in those little gowns! And how did our parents ever survive without portable DVD players?

Oh so sweet. I am so happy that it all went well for both boys. You handled it quite well yourself! You must frame the pic in the gown. That is priceless and I want to squeeze those little legs off!
