Henley's First Haircut!

It is finally time...
I've never cut henley's hair and it's getting a little ratty on the ends, so...
I guess it's time for a trim.  We headed over to see Nia!
Henley was a little timid at first but when Nia offered a "hair bath" she was in!
She sat so still and did a great job (unlike her crazy brothers), it was such a relief!
The first cut!!!!! No turning back!
Then, of course, she felt she needed it blown dry
She kept commenting on her beautiful Rapunzel hair.
Looks like a satisfied customer!

Bloodgusher 1/2 Marathon

This morning Todd ran the BloodGusher 1/2 Marathon in Midland
They started and finished the race at the Faskin Center right by our house and they ran through our neighborhood and Grammie's.  We loaded up to go cheer Dad on.
He ran west on Greentree Blvd and then busted a U-turn and headed east back down Greentree Blvd, so we got to cheer him on from the median a couple of times.
Owen tried to keep up with Dad for a little bit
We were heading to get donuts before we went to wait at the finish line, when I realized the course headed down Grammie's street.  We parked in her driveway so we could cheer Dad on once more. By now the kids had the hang of being a good cheerleader.  They high-fived anyone that was interested.
Great finish Dad! We had fun dancing to the music the DJ was blaring
So proud of Dad! First place in his age group. Gold Medal winner!

Rock and Rock Dallas 1/2 Marathon

We loaded up our bunch and headed to Dallas so Todd could run the Rock N Rock 1/2 Marathon
 Super job Superman!
Another well deserved medal for his collection
I did my part to cheer him on and make reservations for a great bunch after!
Then we grabbed the boys from Nana and Papa D and headed to the Mavs game

 High-5ing Dirk after half time
court side seats mean you're in the action
Cuban reluctantly high-5ed us after we blew a huge lead just before we lost in overtime.
We love Nana and Papa D so much! Thanks for letting us blow in and out like crazy people!

Western Day for Henley

Today Henley's class was learning about Texas Independence Day...
so we put on our best western wear

She is so proud of her outfit…very cowGIRL!
It also happens to be Donuts with Dads Day so Todd gets to take all three kiddos to the book fair before school.  This year (our first year with 3 kids participating), he opted to hit the book fair early and then go to T&T to eat donuts and enjoy some time with the kids rather than experience the chaos of donuts at school.  His plan worked great!

Happy 35th Dad!

Happy 35th Birthday Dad!

With ALL my boys having birthdays the same week, it gets a little crazy around here.  Todd got his chance to shine tonight.  It was hard for his little helpers to stay still for one little picture, they were ready to open more gifts (even if they were for them)!

They are definitely not morning people...can you tell?

I can only imagine what they wished for...
We opted for a cookie cake to celebrate with our friends at school
They requested Chick fil A for their birthday lunch
we changed a lot in six years!

time for presents from Mom and Dad

We had a great day celebrating my most favorite six year old twins!
